1. “Colombia en Paz” Fund

Through a joint effort between “Colombia en Paz” Fund and Ecosimple, eight projects were structured in the Andean and Caribbean regions of Colombia, focused on the implementation of restoration processes and payment for environmental services on nearly 5,000 hectares. These projects established technical, environmental, social, economic, institutional and legal guidelines for their execution.

2. Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is designing a project to strengthen environmental, social and economic sustainability in the Yaguará II Forestry and Biodiversity Development Nucleus, which covers territories in the departments of Guaviare, Meta and Caquetá in Colombia. For this purpose, an economic evaluation was carried out to estimate costs and benefits, thus assessing its viability and convenience for the territory.

Paramos for Life GEF Project
